What data Insights does store

  • Company details for account setup
  • Encrypted API keys (ConnectWise, IT Glue if used)
  • User login details (email, member ID, securely hashed passwords)
  • Feature usage analytics
  • Personal layout and preference settings
  • Draft job notes or task lists (until pushed to ConnectWise)
  • Common board statuses to avoid repeated API calls

What we never store

  • ConnectWise ticket notes or time entries
  • Client or customer data from tickets
  • IT Glue documentation or passwords
  • AI prompts or AI-generated responses

How Insights works without storing your data

Insights operates on a data minimisation principle. Here is how it works:

  1. Required data is pulled from ConnectWise
  2. Processing occurs securely in memory
  3. Sensitive content (e.g., email signatures) is stripped
  4. Results are returned to the user
  5. Data is immediately discarded — nothing pooled, cached, or kept

How AI is handled safely

  • Only specific information needed for each action is transmitted
  • Each request remains isolated and one-off
  • Requests are never reused or linked to other requests
  • Data deletes immediately after response generation
  • We do not use AI providers that retain or train on customer data

Our AI partners

Insights uses specialist AI inference providers chosen specifically for zero data retention.

  • Data is never used for model training
  • No prompts or responses are stored
  • Only anonymous usage metadata is retained (timestamps, token counts)
  • We have Data Processing Agreements with all AI partners

Encryption and data locations

  • Insights operates in secure UK datacentres
  • All data is encrypted in transit
  • AI processing occurs in the USA under recognised legal safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses)
  • For US customers: data is handled under stronger privacy standards than typical US requirements
  • GDPR and UK GDPR compliant

If you stop using Insights

If you leave, all stored account data is fully removed from our systems. No residue, no archives, no surprises.
